Fun story, Ryan likes to play the “does Jackie know this?” but with classic 80s movies. I blame mom for this one, though. Have I seen The Who’s legendary rock opera Tommy? Absolutely yes. Have I seen 1980s icon The Goonies? Absolutely not. Paint Your Wagon? Bet your bottom dollar. Back to the Future? Nary a one.
I’m team anti-math. Read The Phantom Tollbooth to find out why.
My favorite random thought is whether George’s betrayal of Lennie’s trust makes him a morally reprehensible human being, or whether the betrayal was circumstantially permissible.
I love math. As someone who teaches foundational subtraction concepts to 2nd graders I’m happy to talk you through the intricacies of subtraction and number relationships. HMU anytime 😘
There’s 3 ways to think of subtraction: 1. A difference, 2. A distance, or 3. Taking away. I believe in this case you thought of it as a taking away problem when I would call this a distance problem (if you think of the distance between days on a calendar). The problem 14-10 tells you the distance BETWEEN 14 (Friday) and 10 (Monday),when what you’re really talking about is the distance between Friday and Sunday, since Monday should be counted as a work day itself.
My favorite trivial thought? If Vietnam is going to get serious about international trade, they need to change the name of their currency. And what do they call their currency???
Uh, how about we just to leave this conversation right there before things get out of hand, umm, I mean control.
On second thought, probably 96% of the world is involved with making those kinds of deals on a fairly regular basis. But my original point still, er, stands.
i’m genuinely thrilled to hear you checked out the wiffle ball league... go watch Jimmy Knorp of the downtown diamondbacks in their 2021 season and tell me u aren’t a believer!
<imagine that I inserted a gif of the Man in Black, aka Wstley, saying to Vizzini, "Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.">
Airbud is actually a demon, but kind of like Crowley in Good Omens. hence his powers and versatility. I can't remember the other questions now other than something about math. More is good, but not too much.
I think Air Bud maybe works with some of the angels who also help out with sports teams (see: Angels in the Outfield, Angels in the Endzone, Angels in the Infield), and they lent him some of their angelic powers. It's a theory, anyway.
interesting proposition - does this imply Air Bud’s primary power is gravity defiance ? or, more broadly, can Air Bud combat entropy??? implying that, long after we have all scattered to the cosmos, Air Bud alone will remain?? my mind is exploding with possibility and love of Air Bud
I feel attacked. Going to send Air Bud to settle the score. “Air Bud: Hitdog. The bark you don’t see coming”
Air Bud had to do math he fathered astronauts !! Air Bud: Fetch the Numbers!

claire, why does 14-10 = 5 days of work ???

You’re never going to live down The T-Pain Incident™️.
i stand by it and my assumptions about which tpain americans have in mind!!!
I remember talking about the sound of music with you and you saying that you hated it 😅. But I love it shamelessly and also I love your blog 😘
brand consistency is key 🤌🤌🤌

Isn’t Macklemore the stage name of Ed Sheehan?
Didn’t Ed Sheehan quit music?
I actually watched some of the wiffleball league on YouTube. I gotta say, it’s pretty entertaining.

"If you shared my great misfortune of cutting your writing teeth early in the world of fanfiction"
*eyes darting back and forth, mopping sweat off brow* Madam I never
why no! none of my fine peers would ever denigrate themselves thusly in the likes of “””fan fiction”””

dog demons and slightly more math... you’re speaking the truth that everyone else is afraid to!!
i'm gonna need to know what corner of fanfiction you were lurking in, back in the 'good ol days', i need this information for science
i won’t say too much ! but it perhaps had something to do with a certain waterbender and a certain firebender
Yes, there should be more math on the blog. Duh.
Not being able to distinguish celebrities of course made me think of this:

thank you for vindicating math on the blog !!! and calling out the degree to which my sense of humor may be influenced by bill hader-era SNL

excellent theory! but then we bring up causality - do the angels gift their powers to Air Bud, or is Air Bud wellspring of divine intervention??
Or, did it all really start with Flubber? (The old one with Fred MacMurray, not the Robin Williams remake).

YES
Air Bud, like Thanos, is inevitable! (but in a good way)
Air Bud: Infinity
