I will go out of my way to go to stores where things are *exactly* $5 or $10. No change. It makes me so happy and I have no idea why.

You know, I think you've really gotten to the heart of it. No game-playing, no "$9.98" to make me think it isn't really $10, and putting in a bit of effort into prioritizing an easy transaction.
