Katie, your prescriptions are infallible for sure, but why stop at four baskets? Why not four teams as well? Imagine the carnage that would follow with all those seven footers running about. Fast breaks would look like the hunger games.

go stumpies! i think i have watched two basketball games in my life, when it comes to American Sports i have been an NFL girl more than anything else (go Broncos), but am disappointed at the lack of places to watch a game over here.

i wholeheartedly agree that a game with four holes and two balls can't go wrong. these guys need to work a little harder, get a bit balletic with it, you know?

maybe, perhaps, one would say, they should go ballistic ??? (also ik you meant “go Texans” but that’s an understandable typo)

Olivia, I have been across the pond once or twice. I remember during one particular visit, my friend and I had miscalculated a bus schedule very badly and we had several hours to kill, so we went looking for a pub. One such establishment had a sandwich board outside that promised to relieve not only our thirst but also our homesickness. The board read: Tonight: Spurs vs. Celtic! Imagine our surprise and dismay when we sat at table, warm Newcastles in hand, expecting to watch NBA great David Robinson of the San Antonio Spurs battle Boston Celtics hall-of-famer Paul Pierce for control of the low post, and instead were treated to 3+ hours of nil-nil kickball excitement courtesy of Tottenham Hotspur and Glasgow Celtic! Spurs vs. Celtic indeed.

I’m firmly in support of this manifesto since I’m generally a “last 2 minutes” AKA 20 IRL minutes basketball fan - next up, can we even pretend to fix MLS?

Interesting ideas. My idea? Stop playing basketball after college- college basketball is exciting and fun. Pro basketball?-- boring - just old guys running back and forth dunking.
