Superb entry, particularly the final picture and caption.
Unfortunately for me, all I can think about with Jimmy is a crowd of 53,000 singing Margaritaville (my iPhone doesn’t recognize this word??) in 100 degree heat while Coach Prime walks it up and down the field on TCU. Could have used a beach and margarita.
Final thought - is Jimmy considered a one hit wonder?
I think, with the highest compliments I can give, he is THE one hit wonder. Jimmy would want you to feel comforted by his presence at TCU football games.
Who can resist sponge cake? As Jack Klompus once said: “Of course I wanted it. I love sponge cake!”
classic sitcoms + classic rock = classic Stump material
Man I’m out here getting the vacation special every day!! RIP Jimmy
Jimmy would prescribe 100ccs of margarita, stat!
i’ve been humming 5oclock somewhere all day and it’s your fault
you’re welcome!
Spot on. Miss the days of seeing him live in concert. He was a big part of my college years (which started in 1977) and has been since.
I can only imagine how hard that song would go if I had been in college when it came out... how did anyone get anything done when Jimmy is calling!

Absolutely not one hit. Listen to some of his albums.
Will put on the Spotify list
Don't get me wrong, he has lots of downstream bangers (see Cheeseburger in Paradise, for starters: https://www.bing.com/videos/search?q=cheeseburger+in+paradise+song&view=detail&mid=AD0EAC9240B3809A8A01AD0EAC9240B3809A8A01&FORM=VIRE)... but, undoubtedly, I would say he rode his biggest hit father and longer than anyone else, making him the ultimate one hit wonder
Put differently, he had so many good songs, but he only needed one!

we hate to lose another legend
