that’s such a hard question......... it will probably forever oscillate between don’t fear the reaper, bad moon rising, baba oriley, and (the wild card) kill all your friends by my chemical romance... a very cheery bunch of tunes
It is a hard question lol. It's why I love asking it. It's almost as hard (if not harder) than "what's your favorite movie". I think mine would be Toxicity by SOAD. Plug in Baby by Muse. The Bartender and the Thief by Stereophonics and Til Kingdom come by Coldplay. I also have a secret top love song that is my favorite by I never reveal that.
I love your review of Wish You Were Here! It seems like such an easy song to write but they worded AND played it perfectly. I worked in a record store when I was 16 years old until I was 20. Still to this day I love listening to music and can even remember some reviews from Rolling Stone and Billboard magazines.
Paint it Black by the Rolling Stones is class.
Time in a Bottle by Jim Croce, whilst not classic rock is also just an awesome song.
i LOVE jim croce... Box #10 is an s tier classic
Class song. You obviously have a very good taste in music! It's a shame he died at 30!
we were so robbed
We always are when it comes to talented musicians. Just look at some like Freddie Mercury. What's your favorite song if you have one?

Ah, I love classic rock, and I love opinions. Thanks for this!
it’s a topic i’m 100% guaranteeing i will bring back again!
Wish you were here is perhaps my favorite classic rock song for all reasons you mention. Remarkable
My considerations in no order:
Piano Man - the ultimate melody
Dream On - lyrically great, includes a great transition from soft to loud rock and roll
Stairway to Heaven - epic
Kashmir - definition of rock and roll
I’d Love to Change the World - under the radar but epic guitar
dynamite list, and hey, it's so good you might just see a few of these suggestions crop up in the third edition! (or maybe not, who's to say?)
Congratulations, you’ve unlocked one new subscriber with this post!
if you like this you're gonna love being a Stumpie... if there's one thing I can promise it's classic rock content
“everything is a little silly, a little strange, and you don’t quite ‘get it,’” actually describes my headspace most of the time
i could absolutely see you being besties with the beatles back in the day
Consistency IS relative !! 🙌🙌

Any thoughts on Genesis? One of my favorites.
